Eric Graham

Eric Graham along with Wes Montgomery founded Montgomery & Graham, Inc. in 1997 as a privately held corporation in Portland, Oregon.  It originally began when the two men left Mutual of Omaha Companies in order to focus their energies on employee benefit planning.  It has remained true to that focus, and has also developed into a dynamic sales organization with a growing sales force.  In November of 1998 the company purchased Bell-Anderson Insurance's Book of Employee Benefit Business, and moved their offices to the Sylvan area of Portland.  Scott Lyda left Mutual of Omaha to join Montgomery & Graham in 1998.  He now manages a team of 8 sales representatives in our Small Group Division.  In 2000, the company purchased Insurance Smart, a long-time employee benefit agency in Oregon and Washington.  Finally, in 2001 the company purchased Insurance Solutions, a small employee benefit agency in Hillsboro.

 


Scott Lyda

Scott Lyda is a native Oregonian.  Scott began working with Wes Montgomery and Eric Graham in the spring of 1993.  He began specializing in employee benefits in 1998 and is a Partner and the Vice President of the firm. Scott manages a sales team and takes great pride in delivering high quality proactive customer service to Montgomery & Graham, Inc. clients.

Wes Montgomery is a Business graduate of Eastern Oregon University with degrees in Business Administration and EconomicsWes began his carrier with the Mutual of Omaha companies where he achieved their highest sales honor.  It was at the Mutual of Omaha companies where he and Eric Graham began their vision to offer business solutions to the small business owner. In 1997 Eric and Wes chose to take the next step towards their vision by launching Montgomery & Graham, Inc.  Now this two man team has grown to over 20 with a goal of offering innovative benefit planning and the highest level of administrative services.

Eric Aaberg

Eric Aaberg is an employee benefits consultant with Montgomery and Graham Inc since 1999. Eric is a native Oregonian and graduated from the University of Oregon in 1987 and was employed in the retail management industry until 1998 when he entered the employee benefits field.  Eric’s focus is on assisting any size business to have the ABSOLUTE BEST employee benefits package for their dollar. Eric’s clients range in size from one person operations to operations with hundreds of employees. Attention to issues that effect employers such as employee communication regarding effective benefit understanding and utilization, claims assistance, COBRA, HIPPA and State Continuation Assistance are just a few of the areas Eric emphasizes in his relationships with his clients. Attention to detail, trust and relationships are the key elements in Eric’s practice.

Robert Bailey began his insurance career over 20 years ago as a Loss Control / Risk Management Consultant.  His prior professional experience has included: Director of Workers’ Compensation for Sedgwick James, an International Insurance Brokerage and Region Manager for EBI Companies, a national property /casualty insurance carrier.  He currently holds the CPCU, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, CSP, Certified Safety Professional and ARM, Associate in Risk Management designations.

 

Through a strategic partnership, Bob has been affiliated with Montgomery & Graham since 1998.  His focus is “Human Capital Risk Management”, both Employee Benefit Planning and Workers’ Compensation.  He works with client companies to minimize their exposure and the long term cost of protecting their employees both on and off the job.  Bob lives in Lake Oswego with his wife and daughter.

 


Frank Biondo

Frank Biondo was born and raised on Long Island, New York and has been a resident of Oregon since 1984. Frank taught for twelve years and began his insurance career in 1980 after moving to Seattle. In servicing his clients, his goal is to help them understand the process of selecting a benefits program, the different programs available and the impact of the final decision. His hope is that through this process his client will be educated and satisfied which will result in a long term business relationship


Rick Cecchini

Rick has been a life long Portland resident who began his insurance and investment career in 1990 with Mutual of Omaha Companies.  After four years as a top producer, Rick formed a partnership and founded Cecchini/Dixon Associates focusing on Health, Life and Investments.  A high level of customer service has always been a top priority for Rick and he believes it is what separates him from other brokers.  In the fall of 2003, Rick made the decision to join forces with Montgomery & Graham.  This merger allows Rick to enhance the level of customer service to his clients. Rick will continue his focus on Group Health Insurance, Estate Planning and Life/Investment Business. 


Doug Clem

Since Doug's arrival to Oregon 27 years ago, he has developed expertise in construction, restaurant business, and route sales.  In every category, Doug applied a deeply rooted element of customer service.  Since 1999, Doug has been developing his employee benefits portfolio to great avail.  His depth of knowledge and keen attention to service has made him a valuable part of M&G

Furthermore, Doug prides himself on finding the plan that fits for you.  He works hard to make sure you understand and can maximize the services your plan provides.  “Doing the right thing for my clients” is his motto, no matter what situation arises, he proactively and quickly solves the issue.


Steve Davis

Roots: Steve is native Oregonian and a graduate of Oregon State University (“ Go Beavs!”)

Experience: With 30+ years of experience in employee benefits and insurance brokerage, Steve knows the ins and outs of benefits planning.

Specialties: Steve’s experience in the insurance industry has given him the opportunity to work with a wide variety of benefit plans. That experience serves his employer clients well as he works with them to develop a plan that meets their needs.

Involvement: Steve is a longtime member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, as well as the Portland Association of Health Underwriters. He has served in several capacities with the Portland association, including sitting on the chapter’s Board of Directors and chairing the Spring Forum.

Personal: Steve and his wife live in Tualatin and he enjoys traveling, fishing, and golfing in his spare time.        .

Roots: Jim is a native Californian. He attended Brigham Young University and served a two-year mission in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territory.  He moved to Oregon in 1979 with his family.

 Experience: Jim brings 35+ years of experience to the table as a business owner and insurance broker who understands how to solve problems surrounding Benefit Planning.   

Specialties: Jim thrives on helping businesses find creative solutions to their unique or unusual business situations.  His experience includes group medical, dental, disability income, cafeteria planning, individual medical, and Life insurance planning.   

Personal: Jim and his wife, Lynn, have been married 40 years and currently reside in Lake Oswego. They have 7daughters and 17 grandchildren.  Most of Jim’s spare time is spent with his family, in his wood shop, or the great outdoors. 


Wayne Jolly

Wayne Jolly is a graduate of Portland State University with a double major in Business Administration and Economics. Wayne began his career with Boise Cascade Corporation and became the Customer Service Manager and the Information Service Manager for the White Papers group. He then purchased a partnership in a wholesale growers nursery which grew to the top 10% of sales and volume nationwide. After selling his share of the nursery he soon wanted to return to a fulltime occupation. Personal business experience led Wayne to the employee benefit occupation where he can aid clients from individuals to large corporations in obtaining cost effective insurance.


John Payne

Roots: Born in Washington DC, raised in California, left Hawaii after 5 years in 1979 and became an Oregonian. Graduated from Simpson College, started his career in insurance over 25 years ago.

 

Experience:  Trained through LUTC in Life and Health and became the top producer for Affiliated Financial Services, then worked with Insurance Solutions developing business insurance skills, worked at Pacific Benefits Group and became one of their top producers then joined Montgomery & Graham, Inc. as an employee benefit specialist.  The key to serving clients is showing creative ways to offer good benefits at lower costs along with world class service.

 

Personal:  He is married with 4 wonderful children and 4 grandchildren with more to come, and his  wife Davilyn has been his ever loving support. His spare time is spent in church related activities, and the fine arts, plays and opera.



Justin Rommel

Justin Rommel was raised in a small town of Washington, but when he decided to begin his working career he moved back to his home state of Oregon. Justin worked in the construction industry for a few years before wanting more; he wanted to work with people to help solve their insurance and future planning issues. Justin started his insurance career with Mutual of Omaha focusing primarily on life, disability and long-term care insurance.  In 2007, Justin decided to take on a new challenge when he joined Montgomery & Graham to focus on Employee Benefits.  Justin’s intense work-ethic, dynamic personality and genuine concern for his clients has already made him a great addition to the M&G team!

 

Bob Siegfried

Bob has been in the industry for over 20 years, and has been responsible for working on various size employers, and trusts.


He has developed and put together the Hospitality Industry Health Insurance Trust for the state of Washington. Worked several years with the Timber Operators Council Trust in Oregon. Worked on a regional basis with Key Bank, and worked with several Native American Tribes with their tribal government coverage as well as their casinos.
 

Bob has also worked with many employers in different states including recently the Alaska Hospitality Alliance.


Rich Sprute

Richard D. Sprute graduated from Oregon State University in 1987.  He started his professional career with First Interstate Bank as a securities sales representative in 1988 and continued in banking until 1998.  In 1999 Richard entered the medical benefits industry where he currently works as an employee benefits consultant with Montgomery & Graham Inc.  Richard focuses on the special needs of groups from 20 employees to 250 employees, helping them reduce their exposure to employee benefit Law (COBRA, HIPPA, SEHI etc…).

 


Penny Walker

Penny Walker recently joined Montgomery & Graham’s team as a Sales Representative.  She is a native Oregonian with more than two decades of experience in employee benefits and special expertise in collaborating with large group employers to build comprehensive benefit packages.  Walker graduated from the University of Oregon.

 


Jennifer Wakayama

Roots: The insurance business called to Jennifer soon after she finished high school, and she’s been answering the call ever since. She attended Portland Community College, where her studies focused on business and accounting.
Experience: Jennifer started in the insurance business in 1988. She has an Oregon insurance license and is working toward completing her certified employee benefits specialist designation.
Specialties: Jennifer specializes in life and health insurance, with an emphasis on individuals and small businesses. She enjoys educating her clients about how best to use their benefits, and watching as their businesses grow over the years.
Involvement: A member of the Oregon and Portland Associations of Health Underwriters, Jennifer has served as secretary of the local chapter. She also participates actively in an ad-hoc committee addressing issues related to the agent’s role in purchasing health insurance.
Personal: Entertaining, traveling and cooking are Jennifer’s passions outside the office.

Jeff Cecchini

Jeff has lived in the Portland area all his life and has a great passion for sales and marketing.  He attended Mt. Hood community college and Oregon State University for business and decided in 2004 to follow in his father’s footsteps and enter the employee benefits career field.  He views it as a life long, exciting opportunity and is thrilled to be a part of the Montgomery & Graham team.  He currently plays a dual role as the account manager for our Workers' Comp Department and also helps facilitate all M&G marketing campaigns to see that they are driven to completion in a timely manner and have a positive outcome.

Stephanie grew up in Santa Rosa, California where she attend Santa Rosa Junior College receiving her AA degree in Business Administration  in 1970 and continued her education in the Sacramento, CA area . Stephanie moved to El Dorado Hills, CA and lived there for most of her adult life.   She worked for Sacramento Sheriff's Department for 22 years as a civilian ,  working with many county, state and federal law enforcement agencies. She has always been part of a support staff dedicated to customer service.  After moving  to the Portland area she joined the production team of Montgomery & Graham in March of 2006.  She is always looking for new and exciting challenges.  She enjoys being part of the support staff for the agency and dedicated to positive results in customer service. Her motto is "service with concern".

Jessica Hamilton joined Montgomery & Graham in October 2005 as a Client Care Specialist with previous insurance experience. She has been working on implementing the Client Care Center and continuing to improve the daily aspects of the department.  She was promoted to an Associate Account Manager in October 2006 and will be continuing her Insurance knowledge while not only managing the Client Care Department, but assisting the Account Managers with their day to day work loads in providing the utmost best client/customer service.

After many years as a military family, Tina and her husband decided to plant their roots in Oregon.  With over 7 years of experience in the insurance field Tina brings an excellent level of communication skills and customer service focus for our clients.  She provides administrative service support to clients and works closely with your agent as part of your service team.   She has extensive expertise in all aspects of customer service related to benefit programs;  including claims support, billing questions and procedures as well as legislative related issues

 


Sigrid Leonard

Sigrid Leonard joins M&G with over 25 years experience in the employee benefits field.  With her background and experience, M&G feels she has the ability to provide the best service possible for our clients. Sigrid thoroughly enjoys working with her clients, whether on a day to day basis, assisting them with inquires, to helping them get through the annual renewal process.  With health care premiums rising year after year, it is sometimes a challenge to help clients find just the right plan that meets their employee benefit needs and staying within their budget.  Sigrid welcomes those challenges and look at them as strength building exercises that helps develop trust and understanding, which will result in long term client relationships; which is ultimately the goal for all of us at M & G.

 

 


Jackie Lesch

Jackie Lesch began her tenure in employee benefits in 1997, working for PacificSource Health Plans.  After five years working for a carrier, she switched to the agency side wanting to work closer with customers for all their employee benefit needs.

In October 2005 she joined Montgomery and Graham, where their motto “Dedicated to Superior Customer Service” matched her own commitment of working for our clients.  Her philosophy is that no customer should ever have to call a carrier with an issue, that’s what she is here for.

Jackie is a graduate of Portland State University, married and the mother of three grown sons.

 


Jenny Mason

Jenny has lived in the Portland area all her life, she graduated with honors from Pioneer Pacific College, where she studied Business and Accounting. Jenny joined Montgomery & Graham in February of 2006 and is currently a member of the production team. Reymond Soriano

Reymond joined Montgomery & Graham with hopes of finding a perfect fit company; and he found it. In 2001, Rey started in the production department for Montgomery & Graham.  While in the production department, he began to develop his knowledge around computer and network systems.  He is currently overseeing the production department and systems management which includes, office equipment, phone and voicemail systems, workstations and servers. He is continuing his education to better serve the internal and external customers of M&G.  He is dedicated to serving you. 


Dave Widney

Dave Widney graduated from Sonoma State University, California in 1983 with a degree in Environmental Studies and Planning. He was employed by Optical Coating Laboratories, Inc. in Northern California for twenty-three years with a successful career working with suppliers and customers throughout Asia, Europe and the United States. His primary goal was to produce positive results while developing strong working relationships. Dave has always felt the need to put customer service first when working with suppliers, customers and internal groups.

Sara Wrede
